The Opening of Computer Labs at the Faculty of Information Technology at the Islamic University of Gaza within the ROMOR Project

 The Academic Affairs at the Islamic University of Gaza, the Deanship of the Faculty of Information Technology and the ROMOR Project team at the Islamic University opened two new computer labs within the framework of activities aimed at building the necessary infrastructure for conducting training sessions to build capacity in managing the outputs of the scientific research at the Islamic University of Gaza. The labs opening ceremony was attended by a group of university faculty members.

Rawia Awadallah mentioned in the opening ceremony that the equipment was funded from the Project budget, and was supplied at the beginning of the first semester 2017/2018. She also noted the importance of these scientific labs and pointed out that they are used to carry out the training courses that are held through the Project, which target students and staff members of the Islamic University as well as students and staff members from other local Palestinian universities. The aim is to spread knowledge and increase awareness in the field of open access publishing and research data management.
