ROMOR Kickoff Meeting at Vienna University of Technology

At Vienna University of Technology (Austria), and through Skype conferencing with the Project Coordinator at the Islamic University of Gaza (Palestine), the kick-off meeting was held from 19-20 January 2017, for the Erasmus+ funded Project “Research Output Management through Open Access Institutional Repositories in Palestinian Higher Education“ (ROMOR) within the program “Erasmus+ KA2 Capacity Building in the Field of Higher Education“.

All project partners participated in this kick-off meeting from four institutions in Palestine (the Islamic University of Gaza, the Birzeit University, Al-Quds Open University, and Palestine Technical University), as well as four institutions from Europe (the Technical University of Vienna in Austria, the British universities of Glasgow and Brighton, and the University of Parma in Italy).

After opening words from the hosting institution, the project as a whole was presented by the Project manager. This was followed by presentations of all project partners and their identifications in the project. The organizational structure was proposed and accepted by all project partners. After, the grant agreement was presented by the project coordinator, as well as the guideline for the contract realization. All work packages were presented in detail, through activities, tasks, and methods of implementation. The Communication Management Plan, Dissemination and Sustainability plan, Quality Assessment Plan and Risk Management Plan were presented in detail.
