AL Quds Open University

QOU is an administratively, academically and financially independent public university. It was established in Amman by a decree issued by the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) and started operating in Palestine in 1991. QOU also works on integrating IT in the educational process by suitable means and gradually. As the University adopts the Open Education System, it is willing to widen its relation internationally with other Open Education institutions to exchange experience, research and other things as well.

Vienna University of Technology TUWIEN

TUWIEN is the largest technical university in Austria. Its mission is “technology for people”. Through our research we develop scientific excellence, through teaching we enhance comprehensive competence. TUWIEN has 8 faculties, with the proposed project being located in the Faculty of Informatics. The faculty consists of 7 institutes has 53 professors, teaching 7 bachelor and 9 masters degrees in informatics as well as offering 3 PhD programs and a dedicated PhD School, with almost 7.000 students registered for these programs.

The University of Parma

The University of Parma was founded in the year 962 The University holds 18 Departments, 35 first degree courses, 6 one-cycle degree courses, 38 second degree courses, as well as many Postgraduate schools, Postgraduate Teacher Training courses, several Masters' Degrees and Research Doctorates (PhD).
The University is promoting the internationalisation of education and almost three hundred students leave the University every year to study abroad at foreign universities, and over two hundred come to Parma from abroad.

These projects include Electronic Resources Preservation and Access Network (ERPANET) in FP5, leader of the Digital Preservation Cluster within the DELOS Network of Excellence, partner in the Preservation and Long-term Access through NETworked Services project (PLANETS) in FP6, partner in the Collaboration for Clarifying the Costs of Curation project in FP7 and partner in the Digital Curator Vocational Education Europe project (Leonardo da Vinci Programme). We are currently a partner in the Facilitate Open Science Training for European Research project (FP7).

Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie

In 27/8/2008, Palestine Technical University was given a governmental accreditation and thus, became the very first ‘technical’ governmental university. The official name, ‘Palestine Technical University- KADOORIE’ was confirmed, after going through all procedures of accreditation with AQAC. The University is now seeking to gain accreditation for new degree programs that fulfil the expanding needs of local, national and regional labour markets.
